# Connect Attio

Send your affiliates to Attio as people, or to a list, with their stage.

Attio is a CRM a lot of startups use. Connect it with a key and send your affiliates there.

## Make a key in Attio

1. In Attio, open Workspace settings, then Developers.
2. Make a new access token.
3. Give it these scopes:
   - Records: read and write
   - Object configuration: read and write
   - List entries: read and write, if you'll send to a list
   - List configuration: read and write, if you'll send to a list
4. Copy the token.

## Connect

1. Go to **Settings**, then **Integrations**.
2. On the **Attio** card, press **Connect** and paste the token.

We check it with one read, then store it encrypted. You won't see it again.

## Pick where they go

Under **Affiliates go to**, pick **People**, or a list built on People.

## Send

1. Go to **Lists**.
2. On a list or a segment, press **Send to another tool**, then **Attio**.
3. Press **Check who goes**, then **Send to Attio**.

## What lands in Attio

- One person per affiliate with an email, matched by email. Someone already there is updated.
- Their stage, in a text field called **RecruitAffiliates.ai stage**. It sits on the person, or on their list entry if you picked a list.
- Affiliates with no email are skipped. So are people who asked to be removed or unsubscribed.

## Keep stages in sync

Tick **Keep stages in sync** on the card. Once a day, anyone who moved stage here is updated in Attio. Nothing comes back from Attio.
