# Connect Dub

Paste your Dub key so a deal you agree can add the affiliate to Dub in one press.

Connect Dub and an agreed deal gets an "Add to Dub" button. One press adds the affiliate to your Dub account.

## Connect it

1. In Dub, open **Settings**, then **API keys**. Make a key with **All permissions**. Your workspace needs Dub Partners.
2. In RecruitAffiliates.ai, go to **Settings**, then **Integrations**, then the Dub card. Press **Connect**.
3. Paste the API key. We check it with one read, store it encrypted and never show it again.
4. There's no campaign to pick. Partners go to your workspace's program, in the default group.

Dub has no setting to skip its own welcome email, so a new partner may get one from Dub. Only owners and admins can connect. Everyone else can read the card. [Integrations](/integrations) explains the cards.

## Add to Dub

Open an agreed deal and press "Add to Dub". It:

- Creates the partner with their name and email.
- Saves their referral link if Dub returns one. A **referral link** is the link that credits a sale to that partner. We save the short link Dub makes as their referral link.
- Moves the card to **Live**.

Pressing twice creates one partner. If the email already exists in Dub, we link the deal to that partner instead.

## Your current partners

When you connect, and once a week after that, we read your Dub partners. Everyone already in Dub is skipped in every scan, so you don't pay to find people you already have. Emails and websites are skipped.

The card shows "N current partners skipped in your scans". Press **Read them again** to refresh the count now.

## The referral link

In the invite reply in Mailroom, the referral link from Dub is used ahead of your own signup link.

## When something goes wrong

Errors show on the card in Dub's own words. Fix the cause, then press **Retry**.
