Connect Refersion

Connect Refersion and we read your affiliates, so we never email someone who already promotes you. We read them when you connect and again every week.

The Refersion card says Beta. We built it from Refersion's own API pages, but we haven't run it on a live Refersion account yet. If connecting fails, the card says what went wrong. Email us and we'll fix it with you.

Before you start

Refersion's API comes with its paid plans, and its pricing page says which. If yours doesn't have it, upload your export instead: see Bring your current affiliates.

Connect it

1. In Refersion, open Settings, then Integrations, then Refersion API Keys. Under OAuth, press Generate OAuth Client.
2. Copy the Client Secret straight away. Refersion shows it once.
3. Copy the Client ID too.
4. In RecruitAffiliates.ai, go to Settings, then Integrations, then the Refersion card. Press Connect and paste both.

We swap the two for a short-lived access token each time we read. We store the pair encrypted and never show it again. If you revoke the OAuth client in Refersion, we stop reading and the card says Needs attention.

Only owners and admins can connect. Everyone else can read the card. Integrations explains the cards.

What we read

For each affiliate: their email, name, status, the date they joined and how many sales they've brought. We use the email to keep them out of every scan and every email. The card says how many are kept out: "312 kept out."

Refersion keeps no website or social handle on an affiliate, so only the email can be matched from here. Upload your export as well if you want sites and handles kept out too. Press Read them again on the card to refresh the count now.

Adding a partner

We don't add partners to Refersion for you. Refersion's current API has no call that creates an affiliate. So an agreed deal goes out with your own signup link, and you approve them in Refersion as usual.

When something goes wrong

• Refersion didn't accept the Client ID and Client Secret. Check both, and that you haven't revoked the OAuth client.
• Refersion asked us to slow down. Try again in a minute.
