Follow-up reminders
When a follow-up date you set on a card comes round, we tell you in the bell, in one morning email and in Slack if you've connected it.
A follow-up date is a day you set on a card to say "come back to this". On the pipeline, the card shows Follow-up due from that day. We also tell you on the day, so you never have to check the board.
Who hears about it
Each card's reminder goes to one person:
- The card's owner.
- If it has no owner, whoever set the date.
- If neither is on the team any more, the account owner.
Where you hear about it
- The bell. On the due date, one notice for each card that's yours. It opens the card.
- The morning email. One email at 8am listing every follow-up due, never one email per card. It only comes on days one is due. An owner's email lists every card due on the account. Anyone else's lists their own.
- Slack. One message to your connected channel each morning there's a follow-up due, if you picked follow-ups when you set Slack up. See Slack alerts.
8am is on your account's clock, the timezone in Settings, Notifications.
Each reminder goes once per card, per person, per date. If you move the date, you'll be told again on the new day. A date more than three days past is left alone.
Turn them on or off
In Settings, Notifications, under Follow-up reminders:
- In the bell: on for everyone to start with.
- Morning email: on for the account owner to start with, off for everyone else.
The switches are yours. Your teammates keep their own. The link at the bottom of the email turns the same email off.
Reminders only go to people on your team. They never go to an affiliate.
