The weekly batch

Each week the best new matches wait in one place with their emails written. You approve them from your phone in a few minutes, and nothing sends until you do.

The weekly batch is for founders with ten minutes a week. After each weekly scan, the best new matches join one of your campaigns with their first emails already written. You get one email saying the batch is ready, open it on your phone, and go through the people one card at a time.

It's switched on for your account when we turn it on. Until then, the review page works as it always has.

Switch it on

Open a campaign that's running, then Review the emails. At the bottom is Weekly batch:

  • Send me a batch each week turns it on for this campaign. One campaign at a time gets the batch.
  • People each week is 10 to start. You can raise it to 50. Fewer people means you read each one properly.
  • Day is when the batch arrives. Monday by default.
  • Email finds each week is 0 to start. The batch only takes people who already have an email address, so it costs nothing. Set a number here and it also finds addresses for good matches that have none, using one email credit each. The page shows how many credits you have left before you save.

Who goes in the batch

The best new matches from that week's scan, from the same list you see in Discover. Coupon, cashback and browser-extension sites stay out. So does anyone you've already emailed, anyone in another campaign, and anyone marked Do not contact. Your campaign's own rules apply too.

Go through it on your phone

The email links to the batch. You sign in as usual: there's no approve button in the email, because the yes happens on the cards.

Each card shows:

  • Why they fit, with a link to their page so you can check.
  • Goes to: the name and address, and where we found the address.
  • The first email in full. The follow-ups are folded underneath.

Three buttons sit at the bottom, all the same size: Approve, Edit and Skip. Swipe left or right to move between cards, or use Previous and Next. A swipe never approves anything.

Edit opens the first email. Save sits above the text, so the phone's keyboard never covers it.

Ready and Needs a look

Ready cards come first. Once you've read a few, Approve all ready approves the rest of the Ready ones, after asking you first.

A card needs a look when:

  • we found nothing of theirs to open the email on,
  • we have an address but no name,
  • we couldn't confirm the fit, or
  • the email names one of your rivals.

These never go out with Approve all ready. Read each one, then approve, edit or skip it on its own card.

Undo

Every approve and skip has Undo for a few seconds. Approve all ready has one Undo for the whole lot. After that, the done screen has Pull back while the first emails are still waiting to go out.

When you're done

The last card shows "Done. Next batch Monday" and how long the batch took. We keep that number, and the seconds you spent on each card, so we can tell whether the batch is small enough to read properly.

If you don't open it

Nothing sends. If you haven't opened the batch after three days, we email you once more. A week after it arrived, anyone still waiting is skipped, and the next batch takes its place. You can still add a skipped person back from the campaign.

The batch emails sit under Weekly new matches in your email preferences.
